Three Days of a Knight

This lovely, solid grade 2 suite of three movements was written to spark the students’ imagination about a knight’s adventures, while reinforcing specific playing techniques in each movement. “Day in the Countryside” reinforces playing in 3/4 time. “Dynamic Day” reinforces observing and executing dynamic markings. “Dragon Chasing Day” reinforces steady pulse and bow placement of eighth notes. This piece is a perfect choice for Contest as the movements are short and varied in style, and will demonstrate the students’ mastery of the specific techniques mentioned. Piano is optional.
